"Satsuma Lamp" - February 2013

Luckily being in the right place at the right time, I was given

2 broken Japanese Satsuma pottery vases.  Amazing hand painted

figures and scenes to use to create on a terra cotta lamp.

Satsuma pottery, glass tile, broken ceramics.

First are 4 pictures of the finished lamp in situ.

Below are pictures of the lamp in progress, along with

a couple of a tall vase-shaped pot that I did at the same

time to coordinate with the lamp. I must admit that if I

had to do it again I would probably use smaller pieces that

were also placed closer, but I did find it so hard to further

break the Satsuma pieces, they are so beautiful.
